FC Barcelona coming to india


FC Barcelona,the spanish football giants also the third rishest football club in the world, are planning to set up a base in india. Accordaing to Joshua Thomson, regional manager, international marketing, FC Barcelona, “We haven’t developed a concrete India strategy yet, but we’re here on a fact-finding mission. Our goal is to develop Indian football and maintain a strong presence here on the back of the overall India story.”
India is fast becoming a hotbed for global football clubs. After Arsenal FC and Liverpool FC, two of the biggest premiership clubs, came to the country on a reconnaissance mission, it’s the turn of FC Barcelona. Besides these clubs, Manchester United has signed on a global agreement with Jump Games for its mobile game development and Chelsea has tied up with Yashraj Films in a deal that was expected to culminate in the London club setting up shop here.
